Yoga and knees – back off and avoid surgery

I’m not sure which was the biggest thrill, being able to slide quite easily into Padmasana and lift myself into Tolasana for the first time or seeing my 13 year old son (left) having a go (also for the first time) and making it look so easy!

As yet, untitled (and unmixed)

I’ve been feeling less motivated to sit down with Cubase over recent months, but during the last few weeks I’ve eased myself back in to the music – very slowly – after feeling completely blocked for quite some time. I’ve been playing with the ideas in this track for a couple of weeks now (on and off).

David Swenson – Teacher Training

Really thrilled to be booked onto David’s teacher training course next Spring. The very first workshop I attended – after far too short an introduction to Ashtanga – was with Danny Paradise. Like the David Swenson week, this was organised by Yoga Manchester (October 2010). Whilst I got a lot out of it, I really was such a complete novice, that I’m sure also ‘missed the point’ for much of the weekend.

Indian flavour for latest noodles

I guess I’m mixing my culinary metaphors in the post title, but recent noodling has taken a distinctly Asian direction. I must have been inspired by music I listen to during yoga self practice, and I’m particularly drawn to the sounds of the tabla and other Indian percussion instruments.
