As yet, untitled (and unmixed)

I’ve been feeling less motivated to sit down with Cubase over recent months, but during the last few weeks I’ve eased myself back in to the music – very slowly – after feeling completely blocked for quite some time. I’ve been playing with the ideas in this track for a couple of weeks now (on and off).

I’ve developed an interest in the Indian percussive sounds and I’m really enjoying working with the sounds of the Tabla, Dohlak, Kanjira and Ghatam (all featured in this piece). The mantra is fairly dark and with the repetitive rhythms creates a tribal mood – perhaps more African than the Indian percussion alone would.
