Morning run ๐โโ๏ธ
Feeling in need of some yoga. Right IT band is a tiny bit tender. Uneventful run in to the office this morning. Left a little later than I should have so the pavements were busy.

This morningโs run was nothing short of awful! Spent a day in the car yesterday - London to Derbyshire and back to see my mother. I felt completely dehydrated, tired, elevated heart rate and even dizzy at one point. Iโm definitely not on top form. Despite five weeks

Commute run home from office. With my aging eyes, dodging the commuters (with heads down looking at smartphones) by zigzagging in the dark is more challenging than Iโd like! Itโs hard to get any rhythm on a rush hour urban run (in the dark), but itโs always

Big thanks to David and Ken for inviting me to guest on their podcast "Firing the Man." It was a great chat though I fear their very kind show notes set the bar way too high! Show notes Unlock the door to e-commerce mastery with our inspiring guest, Kieron James,

Finally got the trainers back on, although I'm still snottier than a snail on a rainy day. This cold really hasn't wanted to budge. Temperature was perfect for running though. Nice breeze (from behind) and around 11 degrees. Would have been nice to see a little more sunshine, but St

Needed that! My usual restorative practice with Melissa Krieger โOceanside Restorative Yoga.โ I always feel super refreshed after this session, although today I fear I may be going down with something. Feeling a little rough.
Running
Wanted to run 34 miles this week but missed Wednesdayโs morning run, leaving me with 20 left to do over the weekend. That was a good thing because I had January half marathon in this monthโs Strava goals, so seven yesterday and 13.1 today meant Iโd

Early practice today as weโre heading out after lunch. The temperature is starting to rise. Considered practicing outside, but if anything, it was probably a little warm. Sticking with adding a pose each time and Iโve now reached seated sequence. Prasaritas were a little better today as were

Back to the hills. Challenging route but worth it for the amazing views. The mornings are wonderful because thereโs often a light mist at the foot of the hills. Reminds me of Africa (which, thinking about it is probably not much more than 20 miles away as the crow
Yoga
A little more energy for tonightโs practice. Worked through the standing sequence and added my usual Malasana, Supta Vajrasana and Baddha Konsana along with some sit-ups, press-ups and Sirsasana. Felt refreshed.

What a wonderful start to the day. Beautiful blue sky, fresh breeze and a couple of hills. The view from the bridge of Rio Guadiaro was lovely this morning. The water flat and still, a gentle mist at the foot of the mountains in the distance. Loved it. Great to

Oddly, this one felt stronger and faster than it actually was. Iโm not sure if thatโs a good sign or bad! Itโs a very suburban run along the palm tree-lined, wide avenue of Paseo del Parque, past stunning houses. It has a couple of climbs but is
Yoga
Felt a little more fluid on the mat today. I added one more pose in my quest to get back to a regular โhalf-primaryโ practice. Thatโs my steady effort. I know itโs probably not accepted best practice, but I also like to add a couple of extra poses

This photo was taken over the Bay of Biscay from the plane window on the last trip back to London. Although itโs a sunset, it reminds me a little of Dark Side of the Moon. I like the simplicity a lot. But at the same time itโs a

First 2024 target hit today: VO2Max - 47 (Yay!). I aim to get this to 52 during the year. Pretty good running conditions today. Watch said 15 degrees, but it felt a little cooler than that. The moody sky had completely cleared to a wonderful blue by the time I

Short practice after a dayโs shopping at the sales in Plaza Mayor. Enjoyable, though I struggled with the breathing and vinyasa synchronisation today.
