Lunch run 🏃‍♂️

Today was the feared progression run with a target time of 6:28 - 6:48 for the quick 10 minute section. That pace was too fast for me. I managed 7:13 which shows how far I have to go.

I’ve avoided faster running for a long time now, preferring to just go out and do my thing, but now, I’m ready to increase my fitness level again. So this was a bit of a wake up call.

I’m 58 now so PBs are a thing of the (distant) past, but I did think I’d be able to handle 7 min mile pace comfortably for ten minutes. I couldn’t. And whilst this is humbling, it’s also a good motivation to improve diet and try to get more consistency with the yoga too.
